Equipment for measurement of radioactive noble gases for the international monitoring system (IMS) of the comprehensive nuclear test-ban treaty (CTBT) was developed. An equipment test is being carried out by the Provisional Technical Secretariat of the CTBTO. The developed systems are assessed for their suitability for the IMS. The requirements for the noble gas monitoring network of the CTBT are reported. The different technologies used in the developed systems are described. The phases of the test and results are reported.
