"The first draft of this Model Law was elaborated by Carolyn Hamilton and reviewed by an expert group meeting held in Vienna in March 2011. The members of this expert group were Bharti Ali, Alexei Avtonomov, Mohamed Elewa Badar, Douglas Durán Chavarría, Beatrice Duncan, Paula Kingston, Ignacio Mayoral, Emilio García Méndez, Sharon Morris-Cummings, Seynabou Diakhate Ndiaye, Vui Clarence Nelson, Vivienne O’Connor, Michele Papa, Nikhil Roy, Elissa Rumsey, Ann Skelton, Nevena Vuckovic-Sahovic and Terry Waterhouse, as well as UNODC staff members Valérie Lebaux, Steven Malby, Alexandra Martins, Anna Giudice Saget and Miri Sharon. --Following the expert group meeting, the Model Law was further elaborated and revised by Alexandra Martins, Mario Hemmerling and Sonya Rahaman, under the supervision of Valérie Lebaux, Chief of the UNODC Justice Section. Invaluable input was provided by Marie Grandjouan and Anna Giudice Saget. -- Our warm thanks and appreciation go to juvenile justice experts Renate Winter, Frieder Dünkel, Ursula Kilkelly and Yvon Dandurand for their thoughtful comments and detailed and substantial constributions to the text.
